Director, Business Development (eClinical Solutions)

As Director, Business Development you will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining and growing current business. You will orchestrate the business development process throughout the service cycle, aligning account expansion of existing and new customers. This position is responsible for generating leads, calling on potential new accounts and maintaining and growing long term relationships with existing clients.
This is a national territory position requiring travel.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Research, establish and maintain industry contacts and sources that identify and lead to the successful development of new business and expansion of current business.
Analyze product development pipelines from potential key clients and prospects that will lead to business opportunities.
Prospect, qualify, negotiate and initiate the service cycle in an aggressive time-frame.
Develop account selling strategies including creation and implementation of business models to analyze leads and service performance.
Represent the organization at meetings, events and conferences.
Create and professionally deliver presentations.
Maintain and understand current industry trends and business developments that affect target markets.
Analyze our competitors' strengths and weaknesses.
Responsible for forecasting future revenues of assigned customers and prospects.
Utilize Salesforce.com to monitor, analyze, & communicate sales data to the Head of Business Development and executive management team.
Coordinate with the legal team in managing contract negotiations.
Manage budget within corporate guidelines.
Set and manage client/prospect expectations and proactively coordinate and communicate with internal staff during the service cycle.
Coordinate with executive management team to ensure tactical and strategic goals of the organization are achieved.
Other duties as required and assigned by the Head of Business Development. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 5+ years' experience managing business development and selling solutions (products and/or services) preferably in the Life Science industry.
Experience successfully selling service solutions to our target clients (Pharmaceutical, BioPharmaceutical, Medical Device and CROs).
Proven track record of success implementing business development efforts, consistently hitting or exceeding revenue targets and managing negotiations.
Demonstrated ability to develop solutions for a changing environment.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret bids/quotes technical procedures, legal documents and government regulations.
Ability to multi-task, work in challenging situations, meet strict deadlines and work independently required.
Able and willingness to travel over 50%.
Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required. Strong skills regarding the development and deliverance of Power Point presentations required.
Working knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
