The Reimbursement Specialist will be expected to follow up on open claims and maintain patient information.
The individual will also process denials and appeals to assure collections.
Key Functions:
Work claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided via insurance portals and/or phone calls Prepare appeals and follow up on claims Collections and payment posting Analyze and correct any billing errors such as HCPC, diagnosis, modifiers, etc.
Develop and maintain relationships with insurance companies and other third party payers Work closely with patients to address payment questions and resolve collection issues Work closely with management and field sales force as needed Competencies :
Detail orientated and dependable Excellent patient communication and customer service skills Knowledge of governmental regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and other compliance programs Ability to be firm and aggressive with third party payers to secure pre-certs and collect cash
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in medical billing and collecting DME experience is preferred Job Type:
