The Specialized Residential Program at Plymouth Meeting is rooted in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and serves youth who identify as female ages 11 to 14 who have acute challenges due to experienced loss, unexpected challenges, and/or significant trauma, and whose behaviors are presently extremely dysregulated.
The program includes daily skill acquisition, mindfulness and behavioral feedback with 24-hour access to skills coaching.
Youth and families both learn DBT skills though skills groups and have weekly family therapy while youth have weekly individual therapy.
This specialized program will have a small staff to youth ratio of 2:
1 during awake hours.
All youth will have a single room.
All staffing for this program will need to participate in an extensive training.
Knowledge, skills or training in DBT is strongly preferred for all positions.
All staffing for this program is expected to attend weekly trainings as a team and participate in ongoing skill building as needed.
All staff for this program are expected to execute the fundamentals of DBT, trauma-informed care and individualized treatment programming for the youth served.
Responsibilities:
The Family Advocate Partner is a person who has lived experience from any child-serving system either as a caregiver.
The FAP provides peer support to the caregivers through strategic self-disclosure related to their own family experience.
FAP provide hope, build connections and linkages, and encourage parents to utilize their voice to be part of a collaborative problem-solving process.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Family Peer Support Specialist Certification preferred (can be achieved within 6 months of hire).
Skill(s):
Familiar with services for children in the managed care system.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compliant with HIPAA regulations.
Thorough knowledge of the Philadelphia mental health system, willingness to use self to help families who are in need of community connections, familiar with services for children in the managed care system.
Valid drivers license.
Experience:
Lived experience in a child-serving system as a parent or child.
Child serving systems include mental- or behavioral-health, child-welfare, or juvenile-justice services.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
